Ranginui  the sky father was torn away from Papatūānuku the earth mother and formed the vault of the heavens. When Māori looked up at the sky they saw the sun god Te Rā  whose journey was slowed by the legendary Māui.

Rugby game It was a sunny day. Starting to get cold after the game. We usually have a bye, but I was excited that we actually have a game. Usually we go there and it gets cancelled. The game was fun. I got four tries. My first time playing for Hornby my dad told me I needed to get better. I told him it takes time. Then I started to get better. During the game, my team mate Jacob passed me the ball and I just ran straight past like 4 people and got the try. There were so many people watching at Tenton park. I was excited the score was really high. 87-17. I saw one of my friends playing for Christchurch Boys, who was on the other team. Then I saw him on Sunday at church and made fun of him. At the end of the day, I went home and had a warm shower. I felt sore and tired.
